How a job runs

Survey. Quote. Erect. Inspect.

  1. 01

    Survey

A site visit or a clear photo pack. We measure access, ground, height and public interface before quoting.

  2. 02

    Quote

A written price for erect, hire and strike — with what is included, what is not, and when we can start.

  3. 03

    Erect

A trained gang, a tidy site, and a scaffold built to the design. Handover when it is ready to work from.

  4. 04

    Inspect & strike

Statutory inspections during the hire, then a clean dismantle when the trades are finished.

Designed

TG20 configurations as standard. Calculations when the structure needs them.

Trained gangs

Erected and struck by scaffolders who treat the street as part of the job.

Inspected

Handover, then statutory inspections for the hire period.

Insured

Public liability in place. Certificates issued with the quote on request.

Questions we actually get

How quickly can you erect scaffolding?

Domestic jobs are often surveyed within a few days and erected the following week, subject to pavement licences and weather. Commercial programmes are booked against the principal contractor’s sequence. Tell us the start window on the quote form and we will be honest about capacity.

Do I need a licence to put scaffolding on the pavement?

If any part of the scaffold sits on the public highway, the local authority usually requires a licence. We advise on this at survey and can manage the application as part of the job. Private land — gardens, driveways, rear elevations — typically does not.

How is scaffolding priced?

Price is driven by height, footprint, loading, hire period, and whether the design is a standard TG20 configuration or needs calculations. We quote erect, weekly hire and strike as separate lines so you can see the true cost if the job overruns.

Are you insured and compliant?

Work is carried out by trained scaffolders to current UK regulations, with TG20:21 used as the default for standard configurations and a design produced where the structure falls outside that. Public liability cover is in place; certificates can be issued with the quote.

Advice

Costs, licences, solar, render.

What it costs

2026 South East ranges, then a written quote.

Solar panels

Roof-edge access for the array, not a tower in the drive.

Render

Full elevations, EWI, and hire that survives the weather.

Painting

Fascias, windows and the whole house — not a ladder.
